Randi Beatty is entering her 17th year with the track and field team at Jerome, and her 16th year as the Head Coach. Randi attended Hilliard Davidson High School, where she participated in track, diving, and cheerleading. She was a short sprinter, hurdler, and pole vaulter for her high school team, and in 2002 won the state title in pole vault. She went on to continue her pole vaulting career at Indiana State University before returning home in pursuit of a teaching and coaching job. She is currently also an English teacher at Jerome. Randi loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Matt, her daughters Addison and Emerson, and her fur babies Roxy and Daisy.
Coach Jacobs is a former Dublin Jerome track athlete who spent two years competing in the decathlon at the college level and transitioned to training specifically for pole vault the remaining two years. He is the former school record holder in the pole vault at Jerome, but he has high hopes that his athletes will continue to shatter his records and go on to bigger and better heights. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University, Coach Jacobs spent a year coaching in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he led a few athletes to the state championship meet. This will be his fifth year coaching at Jerome, and he hopes to build a strong pole vault program for years to come. Coach Jacobs also continued to compete and train after college with current Olympic-level athletes and coaches. He hopes to bring this experience to his athletes at Jerome in order to prepare and develop them for the next level.
Coach Dave Stroh is no stranger to the Jerome track and field program. He served as the programs first head coach in 2005 and from 2006-2016 he spent 10 more years as either head coach or assistant coach. Dave has also been active coaching cross country for many years, including as the head boy’s coach for Jerome from 2004-08. Since then he has been the assistant coach for the Hilliard Davidson boys cross country team. Dave is a lifelong runner and continues to log miles and set competitive goals. Dave now teaches CCP math and IB math courses at Emerald Campus. He resides in Hilliard with his wife Lisa and has 3 grown children, Andrew, Kyla, and Brian.
Dave is excited to be back in the Celtic track family. He is looking forward to helping the young runners of the Jerome team to continue to set high expectations for training, competing and sportsmanship.
