Coach Jacobs is a former Dublin Jerome track athlete who spent two years competing in the decathlon at the college level and transitioned to training specifically for pole vault the remaining two years. He is the former school record holder in the pole vault at Jerome, but he has high hopes that his athletes will continue to shatter his records and go on to bigger and better heights. After graduating from Eastern Michigan University, Coach Jacobs spent a year coaching in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he led a few athletes to the state championship meet. This will be his fifth year coaching at Jerome, and he hopes to build a strong pole vault program for years to come. Coach Jacobs also continued to compete and train after college with current Olympic-level athletes and coaches. He hopes to bring this experience to his athletes at Jerome in order to prepare and develop them for the next level.

From there, she went on to run at Ohio State where she studied Communications and Political Science with a specialization in International Relations. She fell in love with running in her Freshman year at Jerome and is happy to be back and part of the team that gave her so much. This will be her 5th year coaching the distance girls at Jerome. Upon graduation from college, she worked with a student athlete ministry at OSU and began working for her family's real estate development business, 4 Points, where she works today.
